Perspecsys’ AppProtex tokenization and encryption solutions will join the Blue Coat catalog.
The security tools publisher Blue Coat completes its portfolio in the field of secure access to cloud applications by acquiring the company Perspecsys. The latter has developed a data protection platform intended to meet the compliance needs of companies having to use sensitive information through SaaS solutions. It is based on patented technologies for tokenization and encryption of data, in use or stored in the cloud. Perspecsys’ AppProtex software is available for SaaS applications from Salesforce, ServiceNow and Oracle CRM, among others.
Blue Coat has been owned since March by the Bain Capital investment fund, which put $2.4 billion on the table to buy the company from the Thoma Bravo fund.
