Total Device offers Keydentify from Toulouse to strengthen its security

By taking over the Toulouse start-up Keydentify and its mobile user authentication solution for an undisclosed sum, the French publisher Total Device is enriching its catalog of security solutions.

Total Device, publisher and distributor of computer security solutions has just acquired Keydentify, a start-up from Labège (31), for an undisclosed amount. By carrying out this operation, the French company, a 100% subsidiary of Akerva, intends to strengthen its offers in this area. Founded two years ago, Keydentify has developed a mobile user authentication solution by creating a secure channel, including login and password, between the application concerned and the mobile device (smartphone, tablets, laptops, workstations …). This technology makes it possible to protect access to sensitive documents, with double identification, automated and invisible. This takeover will also allow Akerva to enhance its cybersecurity systems. The security supervision and administration center service intended for large national SMEs is particularly concerned.

The group, via its company “Le Document Numérique”, also has an EDM solution in its offer. Keydentify will therefore significantly improve the security level of the Docuged application thanks to double identification. Based in Paris and headed by Armand de Geoffre de Chabrignac, Total Device offers a wide catalog of products including, in particular, data encryption solutions on servers as well as a set of hardware or software devices intended to improve the computer security of large companies.
